What will help businesses overcome obstacles to finance?

Representatives of the KSE Institute, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, international institutions, and leading financial institutions will discuss with businesses the key challenges to attracting financing and development. On June 13, the Kyiv School of Economics will host a conference entitled “SME Investment Readiness: Partnership for Sustainable Development,” organized by the KSE Institute in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and with the support of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The event is part of a broader program to improve access to finance for small and medium-sized businesses. The conference aims to increase the investment capacity of Ukrainian SMEs, introduce effective financial instruments, and discuss the challenges facing businesses today. The program covers both strategic and practical aspects, from government policies to support entrepreneurship to practical advice on preparing to attract funding.

Participants will be able to join a panel discussion with representatives of the government, international organizations, and banks, as well as attend a series of practical lectures by financial experts. A separate section will be devoted to case studies of successful companies that have already attracted funding and are ready to share their experience.

Key topics will include business creditworthiness assessment, working with banks, insurance, factoring, leasing, and the specifics of international support programs. In addition, experts will address issues that most often cause difficulties for entrepreneurs when preparing applications and negotiating with potential investors.

During the event, the organizers will present a program of regional practical training sessions from the KSE Institute, which will soon take place in Dnipro, Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa.
